Bloody Scotland crime writing festival to take place in Stirling

A CELEBRATION of crime writing is set to come to Scotland this week.

The Bloody Scotland festival, sponsored by accounting firm Mazars will take place from Friday September 14 until Sunday September 16.

A host of crime writing heavy weights will be in attendance to give masterclasses and talks on their craft including Ian Rankin, Denise Mina and Christopher Brookmyre.

Forensics, setting the scene in your book and true crime including many more subjects will be disected during the weekend which will celebrate Scotland's first crimewriting festival.

Those keen on honing their skills can attend the writing class at Stirling University and receive support and guidance from the cream of fiction writing including a panel of agents and publishers.
