Concerns grow as Glasvegas Frontman James Allan goes missing

By Carla Callaghan

James Allan's Glasvegas bandmates revealed last night that they haven't heard from the lead singer for five days.

Concerns for the former Queens Park player increased last night as he failed to turn up for the Mercury Music Awards.

Officials announced that James was "ill" but his bandmate and cousin, Rab admitted to the Daily Record none of the band had heard from him for five days.

Music mogul, Alan McGee who discovered the band and have supported them throughout their career, hoped the singer would get in contact soon.

Speaking to ICScotland, Alan said: "Hopefully he has just put his phone off and taken 5 days out.

"He is a gentle soul is james so I hope he gets in contact with his family asap as knowing his family and the band they will all be worried sick."

He added: "He's a good man James Allan -  he probably wanted some space."
