Heath Ledger is the Joker. Whether you like it or not he is the clown prince of crime and he’s laughing his way to theatres on July 25, 2008.
It has been confirmed for a year and a half now, but it’s only been in the last 6 months that pictures of this new Joker have been gradually released by Warner Bros.
Before we add to the speculation of the Dark Knight, let’s take a look at what we already know about the character.
First there was this eerie, dark image on www.ibelieveinharveydentoo.com showing only Ledger’s face. This was then replaced by “HahahahAhahahahA Page Not Found, See you in December” after being live for only a day.
Following this there was the Comic Con 2007 teaser trailer which contained audio snippets from the movie and showed the Bat emblem being slowly destroyed by rays of light blue light until eventually a Joker card smashes through it, leaving it in tatters.
This was accompanied by a photo showing the Joker holding a knife to Bruce Wayne’s love interest Rachel Dawes.
There were also the leaked photos which I won’t comment on in this article out of respect for Warner Bros and The Dark Knight production crew.
Additionally there was the second photo over at www.whysoserious.com, which has a covering letter with cut out photo-text saying “The only way to live in this world is without rules” and as soon as you click on the bottom right of this, the picture burns as your speakers or head phones are greeted to the Joker saying “and tonight you’re gonna break you’re one rule”.
And this month’s issue of Empire shows the first full body picture of the Dark Knight Joker on their front cover.

i am looking 4ward 2 the dark knight so much but on this site no mention of heaths sadly passing of his sadly death? we will rember him when we go 2 c the film with excitment in july 08 @ hope a tribute will be made 2 this young actor who had so much going 4 him? rest in oeace heath x x x x x
