By Carla Callaghan
MARKING the 30th anniversary of the death of John Lennon, Glasgow's Gaia Gallery will be hosting a truly special event to mark the day.
On Wednesday December 8 at 6pm Gaia will transform into a shrine of John lennon with over 70 stunning portraits of music's most iconic man.
Marking the occasion, will be a special performance from Scotland's only tribute act worth listening to, Them Beatles and also making an appearance will be Roy Moller and Paul Kelly singing accoustic Lennon numbers.
Brandy Alexander (Lennon's favourite tipple) will run on tap and every guest will be given a white balloon to release (with a suitable penned message of their choice) simultaneously on the gallery rooftop for a picture that will be sent around the world for this truly global event.
Featuring works from Frank McFadden, Shahin Memishi, Valentin Petrov, Fumio Obata, and the first public UK screening of the brand new documentry LENNONYC.
A fitting and unmissable tribute to John Lennon. All welcome.
