With 80,000 people travelling to Balado, and 45% of ticketholders coming from out with Scotland, it is important to make your travel arrangements early.
The best way to get to the T in the Park site is by bus. Citylink run buses from four major Scottish cities to and from the festival. For transport on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of July buses will run every ten minutes from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth. If you have a camping ticket and are travelling on the Friday, Citylink also run a frequent service to the site. The return journey is just as convenient as open return tickets can also be purchased and buses will be running every 5 to ten minutes from the festival site. It is advised that you book your tickets online early as not only will you miss out on the queues on the day but you can also take advantage of web discounts. For a full list of prices and times check out www.citylink.co.uk/tinthepark.htm
If you are travelling from further afield, the train is the next best alternative. Simply get a train to Glasgow, Perth or Edinburgh and catch a Citylink bus to the festival site. Perth is only twenty minutes away from Balado by bus, so if you can get a train here it will shorten your journey.
If public transport is impossible for you to use then you can bring your car. As long as you have a weekend or camping ticket you will be admitted to the campsite carpark. However you do need to pay for parking so this is the most expensive way to travel.
