CRAIG LEVEIN insists Dundee United won't miss Barry Robson-but after Saturday's draw at St Mirren the jury is out. After losing their playmaker, dead-ball expert and top scorer to Celtic, the Arabs hardly created a chance and were lucky to escape with a 0-0 draw. Last week before Tynecastle was flooded I tipped United to win but now I'm not so sure. With Aberdeen also struggling - they scraped past Hamilton 1-0 at the weekend - it could be a classic stalemate that needs extra time or even penalties to sort out a winner. Noel Hunt has netted four times in the CIS Cup and is one United will rely on after Robson's departure. He is 2-1 with Hill to net at any time and 6-1 with Coral to score first. New striker Mark de Vries was unbeaten in five matches for Hearts against Aberdeen, scoring twice, and is 5-2 with Hill to net. Dons' main man recently has been Jamie Smith with three goals in five games and he's 3-1 to score and 9-1 at Blue Square to grab the first. Penalty taker Barry Nicholson is 8-1 to convert a spot-kick and 14-1 with Blue Square for the opener. Aberdeen are slight favourites and a biggest 13-8 at Betfred with United 8-5 (Bet365) and the draw 23-10 at sporting bet. Hill make both sides 5-6 to qualify, 11-2 to win in extra time and 9-1 to go through on penalties. The other game in Scotland tonight sees Motherwell entertain Dundee and this should be a home win. Well are a best 8-15 at Coral and Dundee 11-2 with Stan James. There were eight away wins in League Two on Saturday - including my Super Single Lincoln at 7-2 - and Stockport and Lincoln again can win on the road tonight. |
