RANGERS flop Stephane Guivarc'h last night tipped his old club to crash out of the Champions League. The French striker, a £3.5million buy from Newcastle in 1998, spent a year at Ibrox before going home to join Auxerre. Guivarc'h, who now works a TV pundit and coach of non-league club US Tregunc, said: "Lyon will have every chance to win as they are stronger than Rangers in terms of technique. "Rangers will be playing in front of 50,000 hyped-up supporters and they will aim to win by setting Lyon an enormous physical challenge. "So the key for Lyon will be their ability to respond by winning all the loose balls that result from the Scots' style of play. "If they can raise their game physically and mentally to the same level as Rangers, they can win." |
