SAMUEL ETO'O wants Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard to let him put the lid on Stuttgart's Champions League misery. The Cameroon striker is desperate to feature in tonight's final Group E encounter at the Nou Camp. For the majority of the squad the match is meaningless as the Catalans have already sealed top spot - but for Eto'o it means everything. He returned against Deportivo La Coruna last weekend after a three-and a-half month lay-off with serious knee damage. Eto'o said: "As we are already qualified for the next stage I hope I can get more minutes against Stuttgart and the coach will give me the chance to play." Stuttgart are already out of Europe but boss Armin Veh is relishing the trip. He said: "I have been a coach for 29 years and my biggest dream was to sit once on the bench at Barcelona. "It is one of the most beautiful footballing stages in the world. "In 16 years as a player I did not have the chance to play there." |
