DAVID FERNANDEZ has returned to training and could soon be back in the Kilmarnock team. The Spanish striker has been hampered by injury since he joined from Dundee United last season. Manager Jim Jefferies thought the Spaniard would be sidelined until Christmas with knee trouble but he may be challenging for a place in a couple of weeks. Jefferies said: "David is back in training and looking alright.Once he gets a week or two training and a couple of reserve games under his belt then he should be ready. "We thought it would be around Christmas time but it should be earlier. "He's a bubbly character who is good for the squad." Jefferies has slight injury concerns over David Lilley and Colin Nish ahead of the home match with Celtic at Rugby Park on Saturday but is confident both will shake of knocks. |
