MALCOLM THOMSON last night confirmed he's ready to return to Inverness as Craig Brewster's No.2. Thomson, who worked with Brewster during his first spell at Caley Thistle and at Dundee United, has quit his coaching role at English League Two side Chester. He said: "I've enjoyed my time in England but when the chance to link up again with Brew came up I had to take it. "He's a great professional and I'm really looking forward to the move." Thomson takes over from Donald Park, who stepped down last month to seek a new job closer to his family home in Edinburgh. Thomson's move is likely to see ex-Dumbarton boss Gerry McCabe renew his working relationship with Bobby Williamson at Chester, who he worked beside at Hibs and Kilmarnock. Meanwhile, Brewster has told midfielder AlanMorgan, 24, he is free to leave when his contract finishes next month. Brewster said: "I do rate Alan but we have too many midfielders at the club." |
