INVERNESS boss Craig Brewster is set to discipline midfielder Ian Black for the second time in a fortnight. The 22-year-old stormed out of the Caledonian Stadium at half-time in Caley Thistle's 3-0 defeat to Motherwell just before the international break. Unhappy at being substituted at the break, Black was later fined by Brewster. He was also dropped from the squad for Saturday's home win over St Mirren, although his manager said that decision was down to poor form. But in the build-up to the game, Black claimed he had been dealt with harshly. The ex-Blackburn Rovers youngster's public show of dissent has angered Brewster, although he insists the player still has a future at the club. Brewster, who tried to sign Black after moving from Inverness to Dundee United, said: "Ian can be a silly boy at times and knows he was well out of order. "I will deal with the matter internally, but he'd better start learning. "Playing football is what Ian does best and he is in my future plans, but he let himself down with his comments before Saturday's game. All I'll say is it had better not happen again." Meanwhile, Brewster was yesterday believed to be investigating the possibility of bringing past assistant Malky Thomson back to Inverness. Donald Park, who had also served under John Robertson and Charlie Christie, stepped down on Monday morning, citing family reasons. |
