FROZEN-OUT Caley Thistle midfielder Alan Morgan, 24, is eager to play his way into a deal at Perth after being told he is no longer part of Craig Brewster's plans at Inverness.
St Johnstone gaffer Derek McInnes, who is also monitoring former Dundee United striker Collin Samuel, said: "We've got Alan in training so we can have a close look at him.
"He could be useful as he can play anywhere on the left side."
The Saints chief has been dealt a blow with the news winger Jamie McCluskey is out for six weeks.
The 20-year-old ex-Hibs player, who has made just eight appearances since his summer move from Easter Road, has broken a metatarsal in a foot.
