HIBS winger Alan O'Brien reckons the club's supporters will soon see the best of him as he has finally settled in Edinburgh. The Republic of Ireland cap hopes to build on Saturday's performance - his first start since August - in the 2-2 draw with Dundee United. After joining in the summer from Newcastle United, the 22-year-old has failed to hold down a regular berth. However, O'Brien is confident he will soon discover the kind of form that won him his move to the Leith club in the first place. He said: "I've started settling in and finding my feet. I hope to get the chance to show what I can do over the next few weeks. I'm now settled off the park and I am starting to enjoy it." Meanwhile, Hibs manager Collins has hailed his side's fighting spirit after the players showed great character to earn a point against United despite going 2-0 down with just 16 minutes left. After coming back from the same score to beat Gretna, and claiming a draw against Aberdeen from being 3-1 behind, Collins is delighted with his team's never-say-die attitude. He said: "Not many teams come back from being two goals down but to do it three times tells you everything about these players, their spirit, determination and fitness." |
