GARRY O'CONNOR has handed Scotland boss Alex McLeish an injury headache for this month's Euro qualifying crunch with Italy. The former Hibs and Lokomotiv Moscow striker will be assessed this week after suffering a groin problem in Birmingham City's 3-1 defeat at Everton on Saturday. O'Connor impressed as a second-half sub at Goodison Park but his injury is concerning Blues manager Steve Bruce. Bruce said: "Garry is a big worry. He has something wrong with his groin. "He picked the injury up towards the end of the game and we will have to see how he is." |
