FERNANDO SCREPIS, Hearts' only capture in the transfer window, is unlikely to feature against Gretna on Saturday.
Caretaker boss Stevie Frail reckons the Argentine midfield player is short of match fitness.
Frail, who watched Screpis before he signed for feeder club Kaunas last summer, said: "He will keep working on his sharpness and fitness and then we'll see how he is."
Meanwhile, American defender Robert Adam and Australian centre-half Dylan McGowan have joined Hearts' youth ranks.
