Yogi Eyes Double Lift

Nov 30 2007

By Alan Marshall, Daily Record

JOHN HUGHES last night revealed he is hoping to get Tim Krul and Stephen Bradley tied up at Falkirk.

The Bairns boss has been impressed with former Arsenal youth Bradley since he joined on trial last week.

Bradley is a free agent after a stint with Droghed a United and although Hughes wants to hand him a contract a move could hinge on whether Newcastle give the green light to extend Krul's loan deal.

Hughes is waiting to hear from Magpies boss Sam Allardyce and said: "There's still a possibility of signing Stephen.

"He is technically every bit as good as what we've got at the club. He's a really good footballer and you can see he's been well, well coached.

"We've got a wee bit of money at Christmas time to see if we can bring one in.

"The position I'm looking at is not the one Stephen plays in, but, in saying that, we'll have to look at the Tim Krul situation.

"Newcastle could recall Tim and if he goes I have to go out and get another keeper so that plays a big part in this."
