JOHN HUGHES insists Falkirk fans haven't seen the end of Russell Latapy - despite the Bairns' best result of the season coming without him. Falkirk looked a changed team as they spanked St Mirren last week with the little Trinidadian cooling on the bench. But boss Yogi reckons Latapy will be back - he'll just pick and choose how to use him more. Hughes said: "It changes things about the way we play. "The three midfielders last week against St Mirren were like dynamos bombing about, every one of them as fit as each other. "But Latapy. Just watch him when he's on the training pitch. The guy's still a genius. It's just a case of knowing when to take him out. "There's no shift in my thinking on Russell or his place in the team. "It's his age, it means he needs nursed a bit. You can tell in training how sharp he's feeling. "He took a dunt against Rangers and had been feeling it in his neck but he's still there." |
