FALKIRK vice-captain Jack Ross has stepped up his bid to avoid a double hernia operation. The 31-year-old defender was told he faced surgery and two months on the sidelines after being forced off in the 1-1 draw with Hibs on September 15. But after a period of rest, Ross is now firmly on the comeback trail and has been running without pain this week. He said: "I'm still hopeful I won't need surgery and be back alot quicker than expected. "For four weeks I did very little, but have now upped my rehab by running this week. "If there is no reaction, I'll do the same next week and hopefully get back to full training." |
