PEDRO MOUTINHO has had a dream move to Turkish side Kayseristor grounded after a last-minute hitch at Glasgow Airport.
Falkirk accepted an offer of £200,000 for their player and Moutinho was set to fly out yesterday morning to undergo amedical and discuss terms on alucrative deal.
But with the Turkish transfer window set to close tonight, Kayseristor pulled the plug after running out of time to rush the signing through and will attempt to secure the striker on a pre-contract.
Despite the disappointment, Moutinho is determined to give his all for Falkirk in the remaining months of his contract which ends this summer.
He said: "I've been in football long enough to know these things happen. But I'm more than happy wi th life in Scotland and I'm moving into a house next week so this hasn't been a huge setback.
"I was going over to have a medical and discuss terms but now it's not happening and I'll just get my head back down to do my best for Falkirk."
Moutinho's agent Phil McTaggart said: "I had arranged to meet Pedro at Glasgow Airport but the timing to get him over to Turkey and the logistics weren't manageable."
Meanwhile, Falkirk boss John Hughes could find himself in more trouble with the SFA today when he appears before officials to explain critical comments on referees.
The Bairns boss has been called to attend this afternoon's general purposes committee following remarks made in the wake of two controversial games last month.
