A 19-year-old singer has been chosen to represent the UK in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Josh Dubovie, from Basildon, Essex, won the most votes from the public after performing live on Your Country Needs You! on BBC1.
The show, hosted by Graham Norton, saw six acts battle it out to go to the international competition in Oslo, Norway in May.
Pete Waterman, who wrote this year's song - That Sounds Good To Me - with his long-time hitmaking collaborator Mike Stock, whittled the competitors down to three before the audience was able to select the winner.
Dubovie, who performs professionally at charity evenings, festivals and sports events, sang Jason Donovan hit Too Many Broken Hearts before giving a rendition of the Eurovision song.
Appealing to the public after taking to the stage, Dubovie said he "wanted" to represent the UK more than anybody else, adding: "I really believe I can go on to win the Eurovision Song Contest for us."
He won praise from the judges - Waterman, last year's Eurovision hopeful Jade Ewen and Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli.
Waterman said his singing was "perfect" although he suggested he needed to add "excitement" to his dancing, while Tonioli said: "You have an incredible talent."
In second place was Alexis Gerred, 20, from Biggin Hill, Kent, ahead of Esma Akkilic, a 17-year-old from north London, who came third. The acts knocked out in the first stage of the live show were all-girl trio Miss Fitz, five-piece group Uni5 and 18-year-old Karen Harding.
Ewen, who is now a member of the Sugababes, came a respectable fifth in 2009, following years of poor results for the UK and suggestions that votes were more to do with politics than singing.
