The second funeral of a policewoman killed in a gun and grenade attack is due to take place at Manchester Cathedral.
Pc Fiona Bone, 32, died in the line of duty along with her colleague Pc Nicola Hughes, 23, after being lured to their deaths by a bogus burglary call at a house in Hattersley, Tameside, on September 18.
On Wednesday thousands of police officers and members of the public lined the streets of Manchester to pay their respects at the funeral of Pc Hughes.
Similar scenes are expected as the centre of the city once again comes to a standstill to honour the second officer who died doing her job.
Pc Bone lived in Sale, Greater Manchester, with her partner Clare Curran, with whom she was planning a civil partnership, and Ms Curran's daughter Jessie. She was "so happy" in life, planning their union and on the day she died had spoken to Miss Curran to discuss invites to send to guests.
The officer's family, who live on the Isle of Man, paid tribute to "a wonderful daughter, sister, partner and parent".
Pc Bone had spent time with the Air Training Corps and played rugby at university before joining the police service.
She had served with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) for five years and although quiet and reserved at first, had later come out of her shell and colleagues came to regard her as a calm, collected and professional officer who could defuse situations with her gentle manner.
Officers from forces across the country will again cover the shifts of GMP colleagues so they can attend the service.
Dale Cregan, 29, is on remand accused of the murder of both policewomen, two further murders and four attempted murders.
