Two injured after plane crashes

Two people have been injured after their aircraft crashed during landing.

The Cessna plane flipped over after its front wheel dug into the ground as it touched down at the Glenforsa airfield on the Isle of Mull.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11.30am on Sunday.

"One female and one male were removed prior to arrival of fire service and are reported to have sustained moderate head and facial injuries," a statement from Strathclyde Fire & Rescue said.

The area has been cordoned off until the arrival of the Air Accident Investigation Team.
