Technology company latest sponsor

Technology company Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems has been unveiled as the latest sponsor of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The company has been named Official Office Automation Supporter of the event and its products will be at the heart of the office facilities in the Games' Main Press Centre, venue press centres and Athletes' Village.

The service includes providing multi-function printers supported by on-site engineers, a dedicated help-desk and project managers.

Commonwealth Games silver medallist Eilidh Child was at Scotstoun Sports Campus in Glasgow to back the announcement on Tuesday.

Glasgow 2014 Chief Executive David Grevemberg said: "I am delighted to welcome Toshiba TEC UK into the Glasgow 2014 sponsor family. The company is a true leader in its field and brings a wealth of expertise, not only in delivering key services but also doing so amidst the uniquely pressurised environment of global sporting events.

"I look forward to working Toshiba TEC UK over the next two years and am sure their valued experience will help keep Glasgow 2014 running smoothly from now until Games time."

The 20th Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from 23 July to 3 August 2014.
