Remains could be missing diver

The remains of a man have been found in a wreck near a popular diving spot, police have said, prompting speculation they could be those of a diver who went missing more than two years ago.

Martin Voordouw, from the Netherlands, went missing in October 2007 while on a dive. He had been due to surface at noon on October 23 but failed to return to his dive boat, the Jean Elaine, although his diving buddy reappeared.

A group of divers discovered the body in Scapa Flow, Orkney, on Monday afternoon.
