The first meeting of the new Holyrood committee devoted to the referendum on independence has been held.
Members of the Referendum (Scotland) Bill Committee, which will examine matters relating to the 2014 ballot and associated legislation, agreed to invite Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Scottish Secretary Michael Moore to answer questions.
They also agreed to make a call for written evidence on the Section 30 Order, which transfers the relevant powers to hold a referendum to the Scottish Parliament.
SNP MSP Bruce Crawford, a former member of the cabinet, was appointed convenor, while Labour MSP James Kelly was made his deputy.
