Probe begins after house fire death

 

An investigation has been launched after a man died following a house fire.

Emergency services were called to the property in Gairn Terrace, Aberdeen, at around 4pm on Friday and found the man's body inside.

Grampian Police said the cause of the fire is being treated as "unexplained".

The force and Grampian Fire and Rescue have launched a joint investigation into the incident.

Officials are trying to establish the man's identity.

Police appealed for information about the blaze.
