Pedestrian dies after bus collision

 

A man has died in hospital after he was hit by a bus.

The 36-year-old pedestrian was injured in the collision on Path Brae in Kirkliston, Edinburgh, at around 3pm.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Lothian and Borders Police said in a statement: "The 36-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was involved in a collision with a bus in the roadway.

"He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, however he passed away this evening. No one else was injured in the collision."

The force appealed for passengers on the bus and any other witnesses to get in contact.
