Panel may scrutinise suicide bill

 

A veteran MSP vowed to challenge Holyrood business chiefs after they recommended a special committee be set up to consider her proposal to legalise assisted suicide.

Managers on the Scottish Parliament's business bureau want a panel established to examine Margo MacDonald's End Of Life Assistance Bill.

However the independent Lothians MSP believes the matter should be considered by the Parliament's Health and Sport Committee.
