One left dead in two-car crash

One person has died and two others suffered serious injuries following a crash on an unclassified road.

The two-car crash happened on Friday morning at Tibbermore crossroads, Perthshire.

The collision, on the road that runs from Perth to Madderty, involved a silver Renault Laguna and a blue Mazda car.

Tayside Police said there was one fatality as a result of the collision, while the two who were injured were taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The person who died is believed to be an adult, although their gender has not yet been disclosed.

Officers said they, along with other members of the emergency services, were at the scene.

Road closures have been put in place in the area, affecting all access routes.

"Crash investigators are attending at the scene to carry out enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the incident," the force said in a statement.
