Meerkats dig game of hide and seek

The falling autumn leaves have created a fun game of hide and seek for a group of meerkats.

Keepers at Blair Drummond Safari Park near Stirling have filled the animals' enclosure with the colourful leaves to let them play and dig.

Hidden in the leaves are meerkats' favourite treat - mealworms.

Park manager Gary Gilmour said: "It helps stimulate their natural digging action and keeps them occupied for hours.

"They love it."

Visitors can tour the park until October 28, when it closes for winter. It reopens in March.
