Man dies in crash with deer and bus

A motorcyclist has died after hitting a deer and a mini bus in an early morning crash.

The 29-year-old man died at the scene on the A923 Coupar Angus Road in Angus.

Tayside Police said the man, who was on a red Yamaha motorcycle, collided with the animal and bus at 6.50am on the road between Fowlis and Birkhill.

A 65-year-old man, driving the white Renault mini bus, and its two women passengers were uninjured in the crash.

The man who died has not yet been named. Details will not be released until his relatives have been informed and formal identification has taken place.

The crash forced the closure of part of the road to allow for investigations.

Police have asked anyone who saw the vehicles in the area before the collision to call them on 03001 112 222.
