Man, 79, critical after car crash

An elderly man has been critically injured in a two-car crash.

The man, 79, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after the crash on the A91 between St Andrews and Guardbridge, Fife.

He is in a critical but stable condition, Fife Constabulary said. No one else was seriously injured in the crash.

The road was closed while officers investigated the scene and they appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
