Glasgow cinema evacuated after alert

By John Hutcheson

A GLASGOW cinema was evacuated today (Tuesday) after an electrical scare.

The Fire Service was called to the Cineworld Cinema in Renfrew Street after an alarm was raised.

Dozens of cinema-goers had to leave the building while it was given the all-clear.

A spokesman for Cineworld said: "There was an electrical fault in the basement of the cinema. The building was cleared as a precaution and the cinema should re-open this afternoon."
