Court window escape man caught

A man who escaped from custody by climbing out of a court window has been caught by police.

Michael Davidson, 27, absconded from Tain Sheriff Court in the Highlands on September 25.

He was traced to a house around 15 miles away in Alness around 4.30am on Wednesday morning and taken back in to custody. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

At the time of the escape Northern Constabulary said Davidson was the responsibility of security firm G4S.

G4S said it was carrying out a full investigation into the incident and working closely with the Scottish Prison Service and relevant authorities to investigate the circumstances.
