Wedding Planner, Part 2

Three to six months before the wedding...

 

 

Confirm the date with the minister or registrar and with your contact at the reception venue.

Confirm your booking with the caterers (if appropriate) and choose a menu and drinks for the reception, bearing in mind that the number of guests may vary later on.

Order your cake.

Organise the flowers for the church, the reception venue, the bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets, buttonholes for the groom and his ushers and corsages for the mothers.

Order your stationery. Remember that you willneed the invitations at least two months before the wedding to allow time to co-ordinate the replies.

Order your wedding dress, shoes and any other accessories (including underwear).

Order the outfits for the wedding party and make sure that anyone whose outfit is hired goes for their fitting.

Choose the wedding rings.

Think of what gifts you would like to receive and if necessary, place your list at the store of your choice and make sure that you cover a wide price range.

Consider wedding insurance to cover, for example,illnesses, theft of gifts, damage to dress/outfits.

Think about a honeymoon destination and book as soon as possible.

Think about transport for you and your guests.
