The sound of fashionable footsteps will resonate on the streets of Edinburgh on Saturday 29th April from 10am - 6pm as hundreds of 'Dedicated Followers of Fashion' participate in an event of the same name as part of the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival (26th - 29th April).
Fashion fans will take to the streets of Edinburgh to navigate their way across the city's colourful retail landscape as part of Edinburgh's first ever fashion orienteering event. Participants will visit a variety of Edinburgh's trendy stores looking for clues, with plenty of opportunity to indulge in a spot of shopping along the way! The clues for the event have been prepared in association with Edinburgh City of Literature, and each route will include a mix of general and fashion knowledge.
Along the way, participants will be awarded fantastic spot prizes including £200 to spend in Miss Selfridge, £100 to put towards a pair of shoes in Pam Jenkins, a pair of designer jeans from Jane Davidson or a champagne dinner at Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant. Plus there will be an incredible top prize for four people which will include the use of an open top 1969 Mercedes 280SL courtesy of Classic Car Club Edinburgh for a weekend, and an overnight stay and champagne dinner at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa.
The Sheraton Hotel will also be running a special fashion themed menu throughout the festival and as if this wasn't enough, Opal Lounge will be offering a 2 for 1 meal deal for all Dedicated Followers of Fashion participants from 12noon - 4pm on Saturday 29th April (for further details visit www.edinfashfest.com)
Dedicated Followers of Fashion is a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends, stopping to chat and take in some of Edinburgh's great bars and eateries along the way - living the Sex and the City lifestyle for a day has never been easier!
The event will cost £8 per person or £30 per team of four (and will include a donation to the Festival's nominated charity, OneCity). The trail will start at 10am at the Omni Centre, Greenside Place and take approximately three hours to complete - depending on how many shopping stops are made along the way!
