If you thought that beer was only good for swigging while you sit on the couch watching the footie then think again!
Thriving pub chain All Bar One has launched a continental Beer Boutique to let us all know that it's not just a glass of wine that goes well with your roast chicken or peppered steak; beer is also a refreshing alternative!
The Beer Boutique will be encouraging everyone to become a beer connoisseur from October 13th until November 27th with free samples of beer from all over Europe every evening between 6pm and 7pm!
For anyone who takes a trip to any All Bar One pub in the UK, the beer menu will not disappoint. With draught and bottled beers from Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Holland and Italy there is sure to be something to suit all tastes.
Draught beers on offer include:
Belle Vue-Kriek: A cherry based fruit beer with an unusual sweet taste; Ideal with desserts and sweeter, darker meats like venison.
Dom Kolsch: A refreshing lemony beer popular in All Bar One in Cologne. This is one of many beers which have been brought to the UK following its success in the Cologne branch; great with salads and fish.
Leffe Blond: A speciality beer with a distinctive flavour ideal for matching with food. Its versatility means it is surprisingly well matched with all kinds of foods from cheese to desserts - particularly chocolate cheesecake.
Staropramen: A rich hoppy taste with a citrus lemon zing and a soft malty flavour ideal with creamy dishes, vegetarian food and spicy sausages like chorizo.
Bottled beers on offer include:
Bierra Moretti: An authentic Italian brew with a delicate malt flavour. This beer is best enjoyed with cold meats and salamis, cheese, pasta or risotto.
Pilsner Uquell: A medium bodied beer with rich aromas and a hint of bitterness; great with spicy foods, rich red meats like steak and salmon.
So get along to an All Bar One pub near you and sample some fine European beer to go with your Venison instead of the usual glass of wine!
