Charity fundraiser at Browns to celebrate relaunch

By Stephen McKenna

The distinguished restaurant chain Browns is undergoing a major refurbishment and extension project at its only Scottish restaurant in Edinburgh's George Street.

The restaurant's bar area is undergoing an extension and re-design project with the introduction of a new cocktail menu and a great range of perfectly chilled draft continental beers.

To celebrate the event, there will be an official charity launch party on Thursday January 26th from 5 till 9pm. The party will raise money for the Maggie Cancer Care Centre in Edinburgh which provides support, comfort, counselling and practical advice to those diagnosed with cancer.

This is the first time that the restaurant has been refurbished since it opened in 1998. Manager Sarah Fox believes the refurbishment will ensure the restaurant maintains its character.

'What we have done is to update features so that people can get even more enjoyment from their surroundings. It has been a substantial investment but our guests deserve to see Browns moving with the times and always looking its best.'

There will be a huge selection of complimentary drinks and snacks on offer for all guests who attend this special event.

The launch is only open to guests with an invitation. If you wish to collect an invite go to Browns Restaurant in George Street, Edinburgh or email john@haslimanntaylor.com stating the size of your group.
